Who is Midwestern Technical Accelerator for?
Anyone from a rural community in the Midwest can join our program. We’re an all ages program, although parental consent is required for children under 18. We encourage parents and guardians to work with their child for no additional cost under a single membership!

What’s included in my Membership?
Every membership is an All Access Pass to our Accelerator program, and include personalized curriculums, access to all courses, one-on-one mentorship, access to our Slack community and member website, and access to all our events. Annual Memberships receive some special perks and savings, including 10% off a monthly membership, branded water bottles, t-shirts, and more. Scholarship Recipients receive the same access to the program as everyone else.
How long does this program take?
We encourage participants to stay in the program until their goals are complete - depending on your goals, this could be several months to a few years. Monthly memberships are a flexible option for those exploring opportunities, without the commitment to a longer program.
For those who have no experience and smaller goals, the program can be completed in a few months. For those who have larger aspirations, such as transitioning into a career, or building a startup from scratch, the learning path can be a longer journey. We work with you to understand how much time you can commit to your learning each month, and help you understand what your journey might look like before you begin.

Where are you located?
We’re a small family owned LLC proudly built in rural Kansas. While we offer events that are available to all members, some members may not live near every event. For those who want to join virtually, all speakers and workshops will be recorded and available online. We offer a Remote First approach to our program, as we believe the future of many tech careers will be Remote work on Distributed Teams. We’ve found that asynchronous options work best for those with prior commitments and obligations. The program is set to be worked through at your own pace, and on your own time. We strive to be available as much as possible to support everyone, so reach out if you need special accommodations.
Why should I care about learning tech skills?
Virtually every industry relies on technology these days, in one way or another. With the developments we’re seeing in technology, these jobs are in demand now, more than ever before. There are lots of high paying jobs that can provide incredible opportunities, and we believe they should be available to anyone - especially folks from rural communities. The Bureau of Labor has data available for those who are curious, and you can always take a look at some job boards if you want to discover opportunities that you might want to start preparing for.
